Kossuth County is connected to a program "Code Red" which is a telephone notification system for use in emergency situations to notify numerous persons of impending emergencies such as floods, evacuations due to chemical spills, ect. This can be a localized area in the county or an entire town and can be used to call in help or volunteers for emergencies in the area.
